US Tower Services doesn't just climb towers. Our staff are proficient with nearly every step in the site-building process. Civil construction involves the transformation of an empty piece of land and a set of drawings into a fully-functioning telecommunications site--from the ground up. Or it can involve adding a new "locate" to an already existing structure, including towers, water tanks, and building rooftops.
The civil portion of our work includes the pouring of concrete pads, installation of platforms, trenching and installation of electrical and telephone conduits, grounding systems, radio cabinet (BTS) installation, construction of fences, spreading of gravel and cutting in access roads. In "stealth" situations--where the local residents don't appreciate "ugly towers" in their backyards, this work can also include installation of structures which blend in with the surroundings, such as boulders, bushes, trees, cacti, brick walls, or church steeples.
