A Safety Culture
At US Tower Services, safety is a cultural influence. Every day our employees are presented with challenges on the job, and are given the tools and authority to face those challenges as safely as possible. Because our employees must work at extreme heights, there is no room for chance, and little forgiveness for mistakes. It is our duty and our pleasure to provide our employees with comprehensive safety training and protective equipment for every task. US Tower Services also employs a full-time Safety Manager who works directly with managers, supervisors, and field workers to ensure that all jobs are being performed with safety as top priority.
We put all employees through an initial 2-week training program. During these two weeks, employees will experience a balance of live classroom and online training as well as on-site and hands-on practical training. All employees complete the following courses before ever entering the field: Tower Technician 101, Tower Safety and Rescue (Comtrain), OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Construction, Fundamentals of RF, HazCom, CPR & First Aid. In addition to initial training, employees receive scheduled refresher courses and recertification, as well as continual education in the form of weekly safety talks and specific task training when the need arises.
